Cashmere comes from the Cashmere goat, and is so expensive as each goat has to have the soft fibres carefully combed out from between its 'guard hairs'. The goats produce hair like our own and it is a smooth fibre, unlike wool. This gives cashmere its wonderful lustre and extremely soft and glossy feel.

We also have a superb range of Merino wool throws. Extra fine Merino wool is so fine that it is often very difficult to distinguish between cashmere, but is slightly more affordable.
