All our wool rugs are natural whole sheepskins, not skins that are combined from pieces, so they will keep the quality look for far longer than lambskin rugs that are sewn together from fragments. Many of our natural sheepskin rugs are exclusive to us at The Wool Company and cannot be bought on the high street or elsewhere online. We have spent over 10 years tirelessly looking for unique and unusual sheepskins to bring together a collection of wool rugs that is as stunning and high-quality as it is special to us.

We get the material for our British sheepskin rugs from sheep born and bred in the Westcountry and other places in the UK. North America is the source for our large sheepskin rugs and luxurious Merino sheepskin throws, while our baby sheepskins come from Australia and New Zealand. Our British sheepskin rugs are a by-product of the farming industry. They are environmentally friendly from a sustainable resource and help keep our land green. Sheep are raised almost exclusively free-range and graze on grass outdoors all year round, except in particularly bad weather. We believe that out of all farm animals, sheep have the most natural lifestyles. 

Our natural coloured rugs are hand-selected for the particular colour and natural markings in the fleece as well as uniformity of the staple, consistency, sumptuousness, and softness. Simply the best. These shearling rugs have been carefully selected for their silky softness, richness, and general luxuriousness. 

A completely natural white sheepskin rug is a rarity. Our collection includes carefully selected undyed white merino sheepskin rugs to become beautiful accessories to any interior. You will find only the most authentic, real sheepskin rug options at The Wool Company.
