Luxurious long-wool dyed 'seconds' sheepskins from British-reared lambs. The main reasons for the 'seconds' qualilty are the sizing which does not fit within our standard categories, and the variations of colours. We are selling all the various shades of a particular hue as a single colour, the price reflects the variations.
You'll find that any flaws (if there are any) will vary, they may include slight discoloration in the dye or very tiny holes in the skin on the back, or they could be slightly misshapen. Most will not have any imperfections at all, they will just not be our usual standard sizes! We have included examples of the shades of colour in the images. The fleece length varies from rug to rug anything from 4 cm to 9 cm.
Our seconds are a by-product of the food industry where the animals are farmed in an ethical and sustainable environment here in the UK. If we did not utilise this natural resource in our modern 'chrome-free' tannery, they would be disposed of.
These sheepskins vary between 80 cm to 90 cm long x approximately 45 to 60 cm wide (this varies as every sheepskin is unique and 'seconds' are from different breeds of sheep).

To clean - take it outside and give it a good shake and a brush with our bamboo sheepskin brush Brush regularly to help maintain and bring out the best in the wool fibres.
Spot cleaning is recommended but can be carefully machine washed ( subject to machine size ) if needed at 30c on a wool program using wool-recommended detergent. Allow to dry naturally. Easy Sheepskin Care instructions are here
